# Inviting new members to channel

Instructions on how to add a member to a channel, organization, and to a customer queue.

Channel operators can invire new members to a channel.

1. Click the three dots at the end of the member list and select the "Invite people to channel".
2. Adjust the toggle under the "Privileges" text to the On position (enabled) to grant the invited person access to the organization as well.
3. Enter the invitee's email address or Ninchat username into the field and press Enter.\
   Add additional invitees' email addresses if needed.
4. Click "Send invite."\
   Alternatively, you can copy the invitation link's address and send/share it yourself.

The invitation link is valid for 14 days from the time it is created. It will then expire and you will have to create a new link if needed.

#### Sending an Invitation to Someone Without an Account

If the invitee does not yet have a Ninchat account, the invitation will be sent to their email address. The user will then follow the instructions provided in the "Creating a User Account" section.
