# Creating a new queue

To create a new queue, you must have operator rights. Start creating a new queue by navigating to your organizations dashboard. Then click on the Queues section and, in the view that opens, press the New Queue button.

1. Select your organization from the left-hand sidebar.
2. Click on the Queues section.
3. Click on the New Queue button.

**Create a new queue as follows:**

1. Provide a descriptive name for the queue.
2. Choose whether the queue will be text-based or video-based.
3. Select who can upload files to the conversation: everyone, only the expert, or no one (disabling the feature).
4. Make selections related to metadata display. You can choose whether IP and location information is displayed automatically or not, and whether the expert can see this information. You can also require the use of secure metadata.
5. Click the Create queue button. The queue is now ready.

You can modify and update the information later as well.
